KTR Launched Mini Sewer Jetting Machines

Hyderabad, June 5: Minister for Municipal Administration K.Taraka Rama Rao launched 70 mini sewer jetting machines were launched in the city in a special function held at People's Plaza on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’ here on Monday.

KTR launched the machines and Various Ministers from the Telangana Government participated in the event today.

Each vehicle cost Rs. 26 lakh and the SBI has given a loan of Rs. 20 lakh and the entrepreneur has to invest Rs. 6 lakh to own the machine.

The idea of these vehicles was developed by Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI), an organization which works for the betterment of Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes.



As a part of Swachh Bharat to eliminate manual scavenging, bacteria free dresses and mini sewer jetting machines have been introduced by GHMC for the first time in the county to the operators. The main intention is to eliminate manual scavenging from the system.

Municipal Minister K. T. Rama Rao said 'As we are living in a developing nation, manual scavenging should be abolished and safety for the labors should be taken care so we

have launched these Mini Sewer Jetting Machines for the convince of labor and public.'
