KTR to construct new flyover in Moosapet

Hyderabad, June 4: The Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao announced new projects for Kukatpally constituency here on Saturday, which is a new flyover would be constructed connecting Khaitlapur and Ayyappa Society.

Many people, especially those who had migrated from neighboring Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, reside in Moosapet and Kukatpally areas, but these areas have been neglected by the past governments, he said.

In the last three years, developmental works worth Rs.1,800 crore were grounded in Kukatpally constituency alone. The Rs.400 crore drinking water network, Rs.400 crore Balanagar flyover are a few to mention, said the Minister while addressing a public meeting in Moosapet.

There has been a demand for extending the JNTU-Hitech City flyover for smooth flow of traffic. Instructions will be issued to the GHMC to look into the matter and if need be, Rs.50 crore would be sanctioned for the purpose, he announced.

Rao said that Rs.20 crore was sanctioned for construction of model graveyards, Rs.10 crore for government college buildings and Rs.6 crore worth works in Rama Rao Nagar in Kukatpally constituency.

All through his whirlwind tour of Kukatpally, Balanagar, and other areas, women accorded a rousing reception to the Minister. At Kukatpally Housing Board Phase III and Moosapet, women offered harathi.
