Vijayawada, October 17: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu clarified that the Godavari mega aqua food park will be at Tundurru only, as the company had already expended about Rs 25 crores on this project.
In the wake of growing public opposition over the setting up of the aqua food park at Tundurru of Bhimavaram mandal, Naidu held a review meeting at his residence in Undavalli. The CM constituted a committee with Bhimavaram MLA and West Godavari district collector to solve the issue amicably and sought the committee to give a report on the pollution control within two days.
Lauding the West Godavari district people as supportive, he criticized a few selfish groups were trying to create unrest in the district. He suggested the public not to believe the false propaganda and warned the groups to stop it.
Industrialization will lead to development. Permission would never been granted if aqua park creates pollution. The waste products would be released in the sea through special pipe lines.
The CM said the industry management will not be spared if they violate the rules of pollution control. The officials were told to purify the water of Yanamadurru drain within nine months by setting CETP (Common Effluent Treatment Plant).
The Pollution Control Board (PCB) was directed to take measures to make the State pollution-free and industrial waste-free.
