AP to hold Deepam scheme

Amaravati June 01: Here is the good news for below poverty people, as they are getting the LPG connection across the state.

While going to matter, Roads and Buildings Minister Ch Ayyanna Patrudusaid has been said that there were 1.4 lakh families without LPG connection in the district, and at least 500 connections would be released for each constituency on the day.He said here on Wednesday

About one lakh LPG connections will be given away to beneficiaries on June 6 under Deepam scheme as part of Navanirmana Deeksha.

There are about 50,000 Giri Jan families in the agency and they would be provided with these connections free of cost while those in plain areas would have to pay Rs 799 for each connection.

The District Rural Development Agency would arrange loans for the purpose to the needy, he added.
