ACB raid on Sub-Registrar Office

Adilabad, June 1: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have raided in the office of sub-registrar in Adilabad unit, here on Wednesday.

The State government decided to verify the veracity of records and transactions done in registration offices following unearth of a major land scam in Miyapur of Hyderabad.

ACB DSP Papalal and his team inspected records pertaining to lands owned by government agencies and registrations executed from the past few years, by locking the doors of the office for several hours.They focused on whether officials of the registration department had registered lands of government on the names of any person.

Speaking to media, Papa Lal informed that they could not find any irregularities in registrations held in the office. The inspections were organized as per instructions of the state government, he added.

The surprise inspections caused inconvenience to people arrived at the office seeking registrations. Inspectors Shyam, Venugopal and constables were present.
