Polytechnic colleges to have semester system

Hyderabad, May 30th: Semester Policy is going to be implemented in the first year of the polytechnic. The State Technical Education and Training Board has decided to introduce this method from the New academic year.

The semester will be introduced from the academic year 2017-18 as part of the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The first semester classes are scheduled to be held from June 14th and the 3rd and 5th semesters are scheduled to start on June 9th.

Technical education department commissioner Vani Prasad has directed the Principals of Colleges to set up new laboratories with appropriate equipment and software in line with the changes in the curriculum.

* Students and Lectures are sent to study at Polytechnic colleges which are giving best practices only.

* Innovative, creative projects, best research document submission, poster presentations are recognized and Rs. 5 thousand per student will be awarded for best 10 Members.

* For students and teachers, biometric attendance is mandatory.
