IBM launches centre of excellence

Mumbai, MAY 27: A good news for business graduates. American based company IBM said that it would soon launch its first centre of excellence, in association with Vmware in India. The company said that this new centre would serve enterprises needs on the cloud.

Vikas Arora, head for the cloud business said that with the help of new centre "the customers can interact with teams from both IBM and Vmware through the centre of excellence".

He said the centre will not have any physical location. The work would be carried out from the partners' facilities in the country or even from client locations.

He also said that the centre was launched to bring knowledge, resources and infrastructure for enterprise customers who move their workloads to a secure, leading to an improved user experience and commercial benefits for their IT operations.

Currently, the company has tied up with few cloud customers in the country such as including Kalyan Jewellers, Honda Cars, Fashion designers and banking and financial services clients.

The company hopes that the new centre of excellence would bring more profits to the company.
