NewDelhi MAY 27: A good news for tourists.
Passengers may not be required to carry a paper boarding pass in near future.

The Civil Aviation Ministry is planning to introduce Biometric based identification for entry and exit of airports. Sources say that passengers may be identified using his fingerprint or Iris.The ministry is in consultations with various stakeholders to make sure that Aadhar is mandatory for passengers who want to travel by flight.

Sources reported that the government has approached a famous software company Wipro to develop a software which helps in the linkage of passengers database with Aadhar Database.

Even though the proposal is not yet finalised but many people have raised their concerns regarding the move saying that our privacy will be affected and government can easily track any citizen.

Finally, the government hopes that this move will help in identifying illegal migrants who are entering India.
