AP & TS to get new cancer treatment facility

Hyderabad MAY 27: A good news for cancer patients.
American Oncology Institute (AOI), leading cancer hospital chain has announced the launch of comprehensive hemato-oncology and Blood & Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) programme in Telugu states.

Hospital CEO said that the AOI facility located at Nallagandla currently provides an end-to-end cancer care programme. This unit also offers radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical oncology and comprehensive diagnostic services.

The hospital management said that there is an increasing awareness about haematological diseases, and many patients are opting for
bone marrow transplant.

They also said that currently In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh approximately 4,000 thalassaemia patients have registered with the hospitals located at various centres. sources say that at for haemophilia, 1,000 patients have registered with the Hyderabad hospital alone.

The doctors said that with the new facilities launched we hope that we would treat detect cancer at the earlier stages so that proper treatment can be done in a cost-effective manner.
