Telangana Police bagged five awards

Hyderabad, May 26: The Telangana Police have bagged five awards under the category of Smart Policing in the city at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Homeland Security Conference, with the country's youngest State at Delhi here on Thursday

The award function held at New Delhi saw Telangana Director-General of Police Anurag Sharma on Thursday receiving the award for policing initiative in the category of smart passport verification process while Cyber Crime Assistant Commissioner of Police KCS Raghuveer received the award for cyber forensics lab initiative in the category of cybercrime.

A special jury award for SMART Police Officer, won by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy, was received by Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration) T Murali Krishna. The award was presented to Mahender Reddy for his pioneering work for the Telangana Police.

Another special jury award was won by Suryapet Superintendent of Police J Parimala Hana Nutan for effectively utilizing the Finger Print Identification and Network System.
