Fire accident in Bus, 8 killed

Patna, May 26: Here eight passengers were ablaze to death in a private bus, when a huge fire was produced in the bus in Nalanda district of Bihar here on Thursday.

Another 11 people were suffering from burned injuries. The police have suspect that the bus was burned due to the calcium carbide burning, which was used to synthesize the fruits.

The accident has occurred when the bus traveling from Patna to Sheik Pura. The fire spread at 6 o'clock in the evening near Vishwakarma Temple at Harnath Bazaar, which has 50 km far from Patna.

The bus was completely damaged due to the fire.The Seven adults and a minor girl have died in the incident.



The injured have been shifted to Sadar Hospital in Bihar.The District Collector SM Thyagarajan said that the calcium carbide residues were found on the bus and a passenger was carrying the material.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed regret over the bus crash and announced Rs 4 lakh of ex gratia to the families of the deceased. The Officers were ordered to provide free medical care to the injured.
