Airtel upgrades 4G network in AP and TS

NEW DELHI, MAY 25: A good news for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh mobile customers. Airtel, India's NO 1 telecom operator yesterday has rolled out an upgraded 4G network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The new network will be supported using a Dual Carrier technology with a combination of TD-LTE in 2300 Mhz band and FD-LTE in 1800 Mhz band.

The telco has said that it has added another 20 Mhz of fresh 4G spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band. The company said that its 4G service is now available in 160 towns.

The company had issued a statement saying that with the fast growth of high-speed mobile data services and content consumed on mobiles we thought that the addition of a second 4G carrier will improve the experience of customers on our network.

Finally, the company said that AP circle is one of our top markets because we get more revenue from it.
