Cognizant to stop its employees for Green card

Hyderabad MAY 25: Another shocking news from IT industry. IT major Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) will soon stop applying green cards for its employees under EB2 and EB3 routes.

This decision would make employees dreams crash for people who want to settle as permanent residents in the USA. The company said that we will halt the fresh applications filed for green cards under EB2 and EB3 routes until further notice.

As per procedure any employee who wants to settle as permanent residency must undergo a process which requires the process of green card filing by the company.

Currently, the company provides its employees with H1-B visa holders an Employment-Based (EB) permanent residency through EB1, EB2 and EB3 routes which would be a basic step required for staying in the US.

The company said that we took this decision as a part of our strategic business goals, we continue to assess the benefits and efficiency of our internal programs.

Experts say that the EB1 route will be applicable for individuals like outstanding professor or researcher, or any senior management or professionals with extraordinary talent.

The EB2 and EB3 visas will be applicable to skilled workers and professionals, mid and lower level employees respectively.

Finally, the employees are in shock after this decision because their hopes to fly were crushed by the company.
