Washington, May 25: During the World War II, two missing B-25 bombshell aircraft have now been recovered. The debris of the planes is found in the water area of Papua New Guinea. 70 years ago, these aircraft had disappeared in this area.

During World War II, about ten thousand B-25 planes were deployed on various missions, including bombing, submarines and in April 1942 in Tokyo. The current Papua New Guinea area became the centre of military operations from January 1, 1942, until the end of the war in August 1945.

They discovered the first bomber during the search of a 10-kilometre zone off the coast of Papua New Guinea. It had been missing over 70 years and reduced to debris. It's six crew members are still missing.

During the Second World War, the team of the University of California and Delaware University has run a joint campaign in search of missing aircraft and other things.

About ten km area of the maritime area was explored in the campaign During this, the debris of a B-25 aircraft was detected. It was missing 70 years ago with six crew members.

"While well known to locals and scuba enthusiasts for over 30 years, this particular B-25 had never been officially surveyed," said Andrew Pietruszka, a Scripps Oceanography scientist, and Project Recover's underwater archaeologist.
