KTR invites Electronic companies to invest in Telangana

California, May 24: The Telangana Minister for IT, Industries and Urban Development KT Rama Rao sought Chairman and CEO of Sanmina to put investments in Telangana state here on Monday.

Sanmina a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider with its headquarters in San Jose, California, to invest in Telangana on his second day's visit to the USA on Monday.

Explaining the 'Progressive Industrial Policy' of Telangana and TSiPASS single-window clearance system to the leadership of Sanmina Corporation, the IT Minister outlined various advantages Telangana had for electronics manufacturing companies. He invited a team from Sanmina to visit Telangana and evaluate the investment opportunities and incentives offered by the State Government.

At Sacramento in California, Mr. Rama Rao participated in the World Environmental & Water Resources Congress, which was attended by over 1,000 leading environmental and water resource professionals from across the globe.

He started his speech by informing the delegates of 'Bathukamma', a floral festival of Telangana, which celebrated water and life.

The Minister explained how water was one of the primary issues that had spurred the statehood movement of Telangana and also about path-breaking projects such as Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya initiated by the Telangana Government.

Later, he met members of TiE chapter of Silicon Valley, CEO of Adobe Shantanu Narayen and Co-founder of Aruba Networks Keerti Melkote at a dinner meeting hosted by the TiE.
