GHMC road repairs will be completed soon

Hyderabad, May 21: As we know that, CM KCR had instructed to officials to repair the road up to the Monsoon season. The City Convergence Meeting attended by heads of different departments on Saturday. To ensure safety on the roads, it was also decided to arrange for road markings, reflectors and divider blocks on all important stretches.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to take up the road restoration work on a priority basis and is expected to complete the work by end of this month.

Out of the 656 electrical poles obstructing the traffic on main roads, 110 poles will be removed according to the civic officials.

The decision was taken at the convergence meeting held on Saturday at the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) office in Khairatabad.

Keeping in view of the coming monsoon, the convergence meeting will be held twice a month as directed by the Municipal administration and urban development minister(MCUD), KT Rama Rao.

The meeting, which was held on Saturday following instructions of the Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao to be convened every 15 days for the coming monsoon season, was attended by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy, Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Managing Director Dana Kishore, Cyberabad Traffic Additional CP Ravinder and others.
