NHAI to transform National Highways

NewDelhi, MAY 19: The Central government currently focusing on National Highways. Prime Minister Modi has said that the Infrastructure is an engine for growth of the country and will improve the economy.

On his instructions, transport minister Gadkari has directed the road construction officials to speed up the work. He has set a target of construction of 40 KM national highway per day. Currently, the construction work is close to 28 Km per day.

The main problems faced by the sector
* Land acquisition is the main problem for the project.
* Lack of investors in the sector.
* Rising NPA in the sector.
* Policy paralysis during UPA rule.

So in order to solve above problems, the central cabinet has approved a hybrid model.This model for investment has shown results.

They have also allowed investors to exit the project after 2 years of completion of the project. currently, NHAI is constructing the following projects

Expressways between Delhi and Jaipur, Amravati and Bangalore via Hyderabad. Sagarmala project, Bharatmala project.

Let's hope that NHAI completes all the projects as scheduled.
