Raids on petrol pumps

Hyderabad, May 18: Telangana's Civil Supplies Department (CSD) had raids on Petrol Bunks here on Wednesday.

While going to details that, The officials have listened to the more complaints on frauds at petrol bunks from this perspective they raided as many as 130 raids across the state and at seven petrol pumps in Hyderabad.

The CSD received several reports of shortage in quantity of petrol and diesel given to customers across several petrol bunks in the state.



The raids revealed that five bunks in the city are dispensing 100 ml less in one liter of petrol and diesel. The officials also booked two bunks that were operating the seal even after its expiry date.

The raids were conducted by a committee formed by CV Anand, the civil supplies commissioner. The committee comprised officials from civil supplies department along with officials from legal metrology, representatives from oil companies and the local police.
