Hyderabad May 18: Samantha, who started complaining about the lack of author-backed roles after attaining stardom with commercial films, looks to have missed a potential character because of her beau Naga Chaitanya's fear.

Ever since the trailer of Chaitu and Rakul's upcoming romantic entertainer 'Ra Randoy Veduka Chooddam' was unveiled, more than anything, people are talking about Rakul's lively character Bhramaramba. Rakul, who has been branded an eye-candy owing to the glamorous roles she has played so far, looked simply beautiful as a village belle and delivered her best performance so far.

Actually, director Kalyan Krishna has penned the Bhramaramba character keeping Samantha in mind. The beautiful lady even showed interest to take up the role. Chaitu, however, feared that expectations on his pairing with his soon-to-be wife Sam would downplay the beautiful love story in the film and hence he asked the film's director to find a replacement for Samantha. Rising starlet Rakul Preet Singh was then roped in.

Although Rakul was neck-deep with already signed movies, she signed this film as she identified Bhramaramba character as the game-changer for her. As she had anticipated, she is now hogging all the limelight. No one is sure if Sam is enjoying the attention got by her hubby's film or getting jealous of losing the endearing Bhramaramba character to Rakul.
