Hyderabad, May 15: The Telangana T-hub works moving a step forward to reach its target, which will be completed in next 10 months, officials said in a statement.
While coming to the matter, The IT Department and Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited have geared up works for T-Hub phase-II in Raidurgam.
The government has verified as many as 42 blueprints and designs for the project and picked one. Principal IT secretary Mr. Jayesh Ranjan said Phase-I of T-Hub was established in the premises of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) campus in Gachibowli with a capacity of 900 start-up incubators, but T-Hub phase-II would have space for about 3,000 start-up groups.
"The T-Hub phase-II will have 3 lakh square feet space whereas phase-I has 70,000 square feet. IIIT, ISB and Nalsar University are supporting young entrepreneurs in T-Hub", he said.
He said phase-I was limited to a few sectors like IT, but the second phase would give simultaneous priority to film editing, video editing, multimedia, and gaming zones apart from Information Technology start-ups.
"The government will take the assistance of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Media Labs and University of Texas (Houston) in phase-II of T-Hub," Mr.Ranjan said.
The Telangana government is now concentrating on phase-III and we are expecting its functioning by 2020 with space for 10,000 incubators for start-ups.
