Niti Aayog frames new policy to promote Electric cars

NewDelhi, MAY 13: Niti Aayog along with raki Mountain institute has come up with a policy to promote 100 % usage of electric cars.

The main aim of this policy are

* To reduce Petrol and Diesel fuel to RS 4 lakh Crore by 2030

* To reduce carbon footprint by 1 Giga Tonnes.

To achieve the above goals the Think thank body has formulated 3-way strategy.

1) To attract people to use public transport instead of Individual transport.



2) To move away from Diesel and petrol vehicles to Electrical vehicles.

3) To make changes in Design of Cities based on Population and not on individual vehicles.

Finally, the institute hopes that with the implementation of new policy India will become cleaner and pollution free country by 2030.
