Florence Nightingale award for 3 Telugu Women

NEW DELHI, MAY 13: Pranab Mukherjee, The President of India presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards to nurses on the occasion of International Nurses Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan, on Friday.

Pranab Mukherjee conferred the Florence Nightingale Awards to 35 nurses from across the country.

Out of 35 nurses who have been felicitated by the president, three belong to the Telugu States. Nightingale Awards carries Rs.50,000/- cash, a citation certificate, a certificate and a Medal.

# V. Govindhamma, working as a Staff Nurse at Kanagala Primary Hospital, in Guntur District, Andra Pradesh.

# M. Prameela, working in Family Welfare Training department as a Communication Officer from Karnool, also felicitated with this Award.

# D. Jaya, working in HPHA at Chinthapalli Sub-center, Nalgonda District, Telangana.

Earlier, Jaya received 3 Gold Medals when she worked as ANM.
