President gives his assent to TS LARR Bill

New Delhi, MAY 13: President Pranab Mukherjee has signed on the gazette note of the Land Acquisition Bill passed by Telangana Legislature.

We know that TS assembly has passed a LARR bill with amendments suggested by the central Law and Home Ministry. The Assembly held its sitting on April 30 and passed the bill. Sources say the act will be notified when the governor gives his assent to the bill.

We know that earlier in December had passed the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Telangana Amendment) Act, 2016, but the president sent it for review of law and home ministry.



The Government hopes that with the new Act passed the Land Acquisition becomes easy for the new and ongoing projects.

The Government says that this new act will help them to complete Irrigation projects as per schedule. Finally, the farmers are real beneficiaries because they will get more compensation and without delay.
