High court suspended the hike of PG medical fees

Hyderabad, May 12: As we know that, the State govt had released a G.O, which states that, There is a hike of PG medical fees in private and minority medical colleges in the state Here on Tuesday.

The common bench High Court has temporarily suspended the implementation of government-issued G.O 41, raising PG medical fees in colleges.

The interim order was issued on Thursday for a four-week extension of its implementation. The Chief Secretaries of the Directorate of Health, TFRC, Private Medical and Dental Colleges Management and MCI have issued notices to complete counters of the case. The next hearing was postponed to the next month.

The government issued the G.O 40 on 9th of this month on the provision of rules for replacement of medical and dental courses in private and minority medical colleges in the state.

The Health Care Reform Doctors' Association and Osmania Jr. Doctors Association have filed a PIL in the high court on Thursday.The bench Justice Chala Koddadaram and Justice Nakka Balagogi bench had started inquiry about the issue.

The petitioner's advocate argued that the government had unilaterally acted without consulting the TFRC in case of fees, and the court asked the court to raise the fees as required by the employers.

He said 115% of the fees was raised,which are against rules. The Government has issued this JV for purpose of college ownership.
