Marriage Function claimed 23 lives

Jaipur, May 11: Here is a tragic incident has occurred in a marriage function, which had changed the wedding atmosphere on Wednesday night.

In the incident, 23 people were killed and 28 others severely injured in Bharatpur in Rajasthan. Total of 11 men, eight women, and four children was among the victims who have lost their lives in the mishap.

The incident occurred in Bharatpur district, Rajasthan on Wednesday night. The rescue teams rushed to the spot after the locals informed the police about the incident.



According to the police, the mishap took place due to a dust storm in the region following heavy winds. People were stuck in the debris after the wall (13 feet height and 90 feet long) collapsed all of a sudden.

During the time of the mishap, the attendees in the marriage ceremony were having dinner around 10 pm.
The bodies were shifted to conduct postmortem while the injured with serious injuries were undergoing treatment in a local area hospital.
