CBI questioned ex-Haryana CM in land allotment scam

New Delhi May 09: The CBI on yesterday questioned former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for six hours.

While coming to matter, During his regime he helped for allotment of 14 industrial plots in Panchkula by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).

Former Chief Minister, Hooda, who held the office of the chairman of HUDA, was quizzed by the agency for the first time since it registered the case against him, an IAS officer and two other HUDA officials last year.

Replying to queries, CBI Spokesperson R K Gaur said, "Yes, he was examined."



Hooda had arrived for questioning at the CBI headquarters here around 11 AM and left after 5 PM.The agency had earlier examined UPSC member and former principal secretary to the chief minister Chattar Singh in connection with case.

According to the information from the FIR, industrial plots were given to 14 people by allegedly manipulating provisions of allotment rules by allowing them to submit applications even after the last date of submission ended.
