Selfie death of three

Hyderabad, May 09: A tragic incident has occurred at Jangareddypalli of Valigonda mandal, which has claimed 3 lives of youth while taking selfie here on Saturday.

While coming to details, The deceased have been identified as Varakuppala Ganesh (18) from Sansthan Narayanpur Mandal, Pallapu Srinivas (15), a resident of S Lingotam village of Choutuppal Mandal; and Narra Raju (15), a native of Vailapalli Jangon village of Sansthan Narayanpur mandal.

Along with their family members, the trio youths had gone to the house of their relative Narasimha in Jangareddypalli to celebrate Bodrai festival, which was conducted on Saturday.



The three boys went to the village tank to take selfie. While taking selfie at the village tank, Ganesh accidentally slipped and fell into the water. In an effort to save him, the other two also fell into the tank. As the trio did not know swimming, they drowned.

The local people tried to rescue them but in vain. The bodies were taken out from the water.

Valigonda police rushed to the place and shifted the bodies to the government hospital at Ramannapet for postmortem. The police have registered a case and taken up the investigation.
