Gas leak in company, 14 got ill

Karapa May 06: At least Fourteen women workers took ill due to the leakage of ammonia gas in a processing company situated at Gurajanapally village of Karapa Mandal in the district, police officials said here on Saturday.

While going to the details that All the women have been admitted to a nearest govt hospital at Kakinada in East Godavari district, the police officials said.

Police further said that the condition of two is stated to be critical, The gas leak took place at an aqua processing company Veerabhadra Exports, yesterday, police added.



Meanwhile, police added that, All the workers were inside the unit when the pipeline carrying ammonia gas broke.
