NHAI to establish dry port in Telangana

Hyderabad MAY 5: Have u heard of dry port?

Yes, dry ports exist just like seaports.

Dry ports are established in regions where there is no coastal area/sea connectivity.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) along with container Corporation of India (CONCOR) will jointly establish a dry port in Telangana.

We already know that CM KCR has urged the central government to establish a dry port in Telangana.

The project details are as follows.

NHAI will take up following activities.

*To connect the National highways to Dryport.

*To make internal roads in dry port similar to National Highways.

The Container Corporation of India will build infrastructure suitable for railway transport between the dry port and other areas.

Finally, let's hope TSIIC builds the dry port fastly.
