CID sleuths arrested two fake doctors

Bengal, May 05: The CID sleuths have arrested two fake doctors here on Thursday, who were working in 2 health centers in the North Bengal by submitting forged documents them.

The Senior CID officials apprehend that more such fake doctors may be still practicing in various health centers. A probe is on to identify if there are any such doctors still practicing in government establishments.

The arrested fake doctors have been identified as Khusinath Halder and Kaiser Alam. Khusinath was employed in Madarihat block primary health center in Alipurduar while Kaiser had been employed in a block primary health center in Chopra in North Dinajpur.

Police have seized two death certificates from the block medical officer's office issued by Alam. It was learned that Kaiser had been employed in the health center since September 2011.

Police came to know that he used to issue death certificates and perform surgeries. Haldar was also employed in the same year. They have been booked under various charges of the Indian Penal Code including forging documents, criminal conspiracy.

Police have arrested Alam from his residence at Chopra Bazar in North Dinajpur district. He used to work for the National Health Mission.
