Harish Rao slams Centre

Hyderabad May 04: Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao has alleged on the Centre over it's delayed response and lack of understanding of the farmer's struggles.

Addressing at a press meet in Hyderabad on Thursday, Harish Rao revealed that the Centre has directed the Telugu States governments to purchase only 33,000 tonnes of best quality Chilli at Rs. 5,000 per quintal.

From this, cause it is Observing that this move was to fool the farmers, the Minister said that all the market yards are full of lakhs of tonnes of Chilli and the best quality is being sold at least Rs. 6,000 per quintal.

Questioning about the inferior quality chili, Harish Rao even said that Centre is not purchasing any and clarified that only the losses will be made up to the state of 25 to 50 percent.
