FIR on Congress leader Digvijaya singh

Hyderabad May 04: AS we knew that Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh recently made a tweet on the Telangana police.

The Telangana minister KTR and MP Kavitha also reacted strongly to the tweet that Telangana police are sparking tears to encourage Muslim youth through terrorist websites. Even then, Digvijay did not turn back on his accusations.

The Jubilee Hills, MLA Maganti Gopinath complained on Digvijay in the police station. The FIR was registered by the police today on the basis of the complaint.

The case was registered three days ago and they have been contacted by law experts and registered in this case, police said today.

Earlier we knew that Digvijaya Singh said he stood by what he has said in connection with Telangana police. The Congress leader said,"He was ready to fight in the court, let them file case against him."



The Telangana Police is widely appreciated for its professional competence. He (Digvijaya) has made a false allegation that we created something, induced Muslim children and did something. He must prove it," state home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy had told reporters.

"If he fails to prove it, he has to openly apologize to the police department. If he does not do that also, then action will be taken against him as per the law," he had said.

"The state government would take action against him as per the law if he fails to apologize," Reddy had said. MLA from Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad, M Gopinath, has already complained to the police on the matter, Reddy had said.
