Bank robbery in Kashmir

Kashmir May 03: As we knew that in the past two days Militants attacked a Cash van and killed Five Policemen and Two Security Guards in South Kashmir On Monday. Again now, a Robbery was done in South Kashmir.

while coming to matter, unidentified gunmen barged into Yaripora branch of the Elaquai Dehati Bank and took away Rs 65,000.

Four Militants entered the Wahibugh branch of the Elaquai Dehati Bank around at 1.50 PM and went away after looting the money, a police official said.

The bank employees informed the police and a case has been registered on the culprits. A police team rushed was hunting for the Robbers and trying to recover the money which they have stolen.



There is a lot of increase in the number of robberies since last year. 'The Incidents of bank robbery more than two dozen and attempts made by the militants to loot ATMs — most of them in south Kashmir — since last June. At least 60 weapons have been snatched from security forces since June last year', The police in Kashmir said.
