TS Govt appointed Nandini Sidda Reddy as chairman for Sahitya Academy

Hyderabad, May 03: The Telangana state Govt has appointed the famous Telangana poet Nandini Siddha Reddy as a chairperson for Sahitya Academy on Tuesday.

He won a Nandi award for a song which illustrates the culture and social life of Telangana 'nageti salallo na Telangana' in the movie of Veera Telangana. His writings were instrumental in enlightening people of Telangana about their culture and played a key role in the Statehood movement.

Siddha Reddy was born in Bandaram village of Kondapak in Siddipet district and served as Telugu lecturer in Medak, Siddipet and Karimnagar government junior colleges.



Later, he served as a member in the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) syllabus review committee and member of Telangana State textbooks review committee. He is also the founder president of 'Manjira Rachyitala Sangham' and also the founder of Telangana Rachayitala Vedika and Telangana Rachyitala Sangham.

The Chief Minister said Siddha Reddy would further enlighten the Sahitya Academy with his noble service.
