Old vehicles cause more Pollution than new

Hyderabad, May 1: Do you know that old vehicles cause more pollution than new vehicles?

The environmental activists complain that the vehicles above 15 years cause more pollution. The reasons for their complaint are as follows.

*When Vehicles become old their efficiency of Burning fuel reduces.

*The old vehicles releases more Carbon Monoxide, SulphurDioxde.

*They emit black Smoke.

*These vehicles cause diseases like asthma, heart problems.

So due to the above reasons, environmental activists have urged the pollution Control Department to look into this matter.

The Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) upon receiving the complaints has initiated action.

As a part of this, they have ordered Road Transport officials to give the details of the total number of old vehicles present in Hyderabad.

Finally, TSPCB officials said that after receiving details from RTO it will formulate a policy to remove old vehicles from the road.
