CBSE may soon conduct NET exam annually

NewDelhi April 27: Another shocking News for Postgraduate students as CBSE may soon conduct NET exam annually from next Year.

Currently, the NET exam is conducted twice a year in months of July and December.

As we all know that National Eligibility Test (NET) is Compulsory for getting an admission for Ph.D. in university and also to be eligible for the award of Junior research Fellowship (JRF) and also to become an assistant professor in the Universities.

Sources say that due to lack of response to the test and enormous resources it takes to conduct the exam CBSE may opt for annual calendar examination just like other prestigious examinations such as JEE MAINS and NEET.

Data shows that out of 6.5 lakh students register for the exam only 1.5 lakh attend it.Which is merely less than 20 % and a number of students who qualify are just 4 %.

Sources say that a final decision on the matter is not yet taken.

Finally, CBSE has taken a good decision to conduct the NET exam annually. Till the National Testing Service is formed as announced in Budget 2017.
