Amaravathi wears festive look

Amaravathi, October 4: The temporary secretariat in Velagapudi wore a festive look with more than 1,000 employees commenced working. The staff of various departments from attender level to chief secretaries have left Hyderabad with all their bag and baggage on Monday and occupied their allotted seats.

After several postponements it was finally decided to commence work from Velagapudi on Dasara festival day. Most of the items of the secretariat were shifted earlier. Now the remaining items like computers, files, almarahs etc were shifted through special vehicles.

Only skeleton staff has remained in Hyderabad to look after emergency affairs. The chief secretaries will issue GOs over the implementation of government policies from Velagapudi only.

Review meetings, high level discussions, which were being held at CM camp office in Vijayawada, would now be held in Velagapudi.
