Hyderabad, October 4: Senior Congress leaders and former ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah and D.K. Aruna were more than happy as their fight for Jangaon and Gadwal districts bore fruits with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao giving green signal for these two districts.
Agitations were organized by all parties and Ponnala and DK launched two-day deeksha in Hyderabad.
Now rumours are rife as to whether KCR sanctioned the new districts in response to the agitations or any other political motive.
Earlier it was said D.K. Aruna made an agreement with KCR to join TRS if Gadwal district is formed. She even announced of resigning her post if she is obstructing the Gadwal district formation. KCR giving green signal for Gadwal district on the very next day of Aruna announcing her resignation has made the way clear for her to join TRS.
The political analysts also said Congress MLA Sampath Kumar may also follow Aruna. Though TRS MLAs and Ponnala Lakshmaiah fought for Jangaon district, discussions are going on the political future of Ponnala. It was alleged that he was also eyeing the ruling party.
Several people are questioning how KCR could agree formation of Jangaon, Sircilla, Gadwal and Asifabad districts, who earlier said it was impossible to form these districts. It was nothing but KCR?s plot to get the focus of all the public in the State.
