YS Jagan assets case postponed

Hyderabad, Aprill 22: The Principal special judge M Venkata Ramana of the Hyderabad CBI court on Friday reserved his order for April 28 on a plea filed by CBI seeking cancellation of bail given to YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

The judge would also pronounce his decision on the same day on a plea filed by Jagan seeking court's permission to go to New Zealand on a vacation for a few days.

When the case came up for hearing, only those advocates representing CBI and Jagan were allowed to remain in the court.

Other advocates representing various accused in the same case and journalists were not allowed to be present in the court.

According to sources, the CBI counsel K Surender has shown the judge the video clip of the alleged interview of former AP chief secretary, made and telecast by Sakshi TV, and told the court that this amounts to influencing the witnesses in Jagan assets case.

Senior counsel S Niranjan Reddy appeared for Jagan and denied any motive behind the interview. According to sources, he told the court that Jagan has no role in the management and the day to day functioning of Sakshi TV.
