Internal conflicts between TDP, BJP came to fore

Vijayawada, October 4: The internal conflicts between Telugu Desam and BJP have come to the fore with BJP cadre, who have been criticizing the senior leaders within Party meetings, openly alleging that party leaders were sold out to TDP and pledging the party.

They expressed doubt that the TDP will show empty hand in municipal elections also. BJP state president challenged them to contest on their own which has become the hot topic for discussion.

According to party sources, Guntur district BJP leaders met the party state president Kambhampati Haribabu during his visit to Chilakaluripet a few days ago. They complained him that TDP leaders assured them of director posts in Guntur yard and cheated them.

According to information, the district party general bodies decided to contest the ensuing corporation elections on their own. They were confident of winning more than six seats with their strong base in Vizag, Guntur and Tirupati also.

Especially the cadre was insisting to contest single since there are party state president, MLA and MP in Vizag. They are pointing out that they managed to win the election in Guntur even though Congress senior leader Kanna Lakshminarayana had personal image, caste strength and own machinery.

They argue that they could win 20 to 30 seats easily since Kanna joined BJP. The BJP district wings are clearly stating that they could not expand with TDP alliance. There is no need to pledge the party to TDP for the mere five or six seats, they pointed out.
