PM Modi to IAS officers

NEW DELHI April 21: Prime Minister Modi while delivering to Indian administrative officers has focused on the role of IAS officers in the governance of the country.

He said that taking decisions from political side is his political will but the main implementors of those decisions are IAS officers. he also spoke about the use of social media for public welfare and not self-praise.

Some of the highlights of his speech to IAS officers on Civil Services Day include the people of this country and the bureaucrats should set a new target for 2022 marking 75 years of India's independence.He asked the civil servants to analyze their decisions from an outcome point of view, and not on the basis of output. He also stressed on taking decisions without fear.If a decision is taken with honest intention, truthfulness and for the welfare of the public, there is nobody in the world who can take action against you for your decision.



He also spoke about the amendments to the prevention of corruption act bill which when passed by parliament would make officers feel more comfortable to take decisions.He also spoke about three Cs such as CVC, instutionsCBI and CAG and their role in governance and told officers not to get scared of these institutions.

Prime Minister ended his speech by talking about the experience he has in social service for 16 years without taking any coaching for doing social service.
