AP secretariat ready

Vijayawada, October 3: All the blocks in the temporary secretariat at Velagapudi of Amaravathi were ready for occupation from Monday (October 3). Except the first floor in first block, which houses Chief Minister and Chief Secretary offices, all offices in ground, second, third, fourth and fifth blocks were well furnished with all infrastructure, including the stickers of officials names and designations.

All the files of AP secretariat from Hyderabad have reached Velagapudi. A/C, lightings, lifts, canteens, toilets, rest rooms etc were arranged. LCD TVs were set up at conference halls for power point presentations.

Arrangements were made for continuous power supply, pure drinking water, high speed internet, ATMs, BSNL towers etc. Besides, private restaurants, small scale food hotels, tiffin centers have come up near Velagapudi.

The Amaravathi restaurant on the premises of the secretariat was removed and private restaurants will come up nearby. According to official notification, the allotment of various departments in the new secretariat is like this.

First building: General administration and legal departments on the ground floor. CM and Chief Secretary offices on first Floor. Second building: Municipal, home, energy, I & I, public enterprises, industries in ground floor.

Finance and planning in first floor.

Third building: Telecom (BSNL), play school, e-Seva centre, post office, bank, dispensary, gym, association hall, IT and Data centre, NIC, canteen, central record branch, APTS, library and others are located in the ground floor.

BC welfare, minority welfare, tribal welfare, women and child welfare, cultural departments are on the first floor.

Fourth building: Agriculture, cooperative departments, animal husbandry, DDF, EFS & T, revenue (DM), revenue departments on ground floor and higher educaton, IT & C, school education, water resources, RSAD departments on first floor.

Fifth building: Health, family welfare, panchayat raj, rural development, housing, LET & F, skill development are on the ground floor while transport, roads and buildings, APVC, enquiry commissioner and deputy pay and accounts are located in the first floor.
