Violet Brown is World's Oldest Woman

Kingston, April 19: Here is a shocking news to us, Generally, Most of the persons are living for 80 to 90 years, when referred to this technological and polluted world.

But,Here a woman named as Violet Brown, a resident of Trelawny Parish in Jamaica, has been declared the oldest known person in the world.

She was Born on March 10, 1900, Brown is 117 years and 38 days old. She has received the title of world’s oldest person on Saturday, after the death of Italian Emma Morano, who was 117 years and 137 days old.



Brown was affectionately known as "Aunt V," does not eat pork or chicken, and enjoys "sweet potatoes, Irish potatoes, breadfruit, and fruits, especially oranges and mangoes," according to the Jamaican Observer.

The Brown's eldest son is 97 years old man, which could be possibly make him the oldest living person in the world with a parent who is also alive.

On Saturday, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness tweeted his congratulations to Brown.
