Telangana next National Highway

Hyderabad, April 16: The central government has sanctioned a National Highway for Telangana State. Which starts from the Kothakota to Mantralayam via Gadwal, Gudur.This total number of National Highways in the Telangana state has been increased to 22.
The official press note issued on Saturday, by Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao stated that the new highway would improve road connectivity in the Telangana.
Till now State had got so far, a total of 2,985 km length of highway road in the two-and-a-half years of the TRS rule and put the total stretch of highway road up to 5,512 km, the Minister said.
He also instructed the officials to prepare the detailed project reports (DPRs) for the same. He asked Ganapathi Reddy Chief Engineer to send DPRs to the Centre to get more funds for the purpose.
