Tribals suffering with unidentified disease

Kakinada, September 29: As many as eight persons died while 71 persons are suffering from failed kidneys, swollen legs since the last one month in Agency areas of East Godavari district. The officials got the affected admitted in Kakinada government hospital.

The blood tests of the deceased revealed that they were suffering from kidney related disease. The blood samples were sent to Visakhapatnam research centre for further research. The tribals are suffering with the unidentified swollen legs disease.

They were deprived of even primary treatment due to lack of doctors in several mandals in agency areas. The patients were shifted to Kakinada, Rajahmundry government hospitals after the diseases became severe.

The Annavaram villagers of V.R.Puram mandal are the most affected with swollen legs disease. The worried villagers are requesting public officials to find a solution to their problem. Meanwhile the experts said that primary health care will treat the problem.
