Vasavi Junior college students got one more chance

Hyderabad, April 11: The Secretary of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Monday said that all arrangements are in place for 250 students of Sri Vasavi Junior College, Vanasthalipuram to appear in the Intermediate public Advanced Supplementary Examination (IPASE) at Government Junior College, Hayathnagar, Rangareddy district this May.

The TSBIE officials said that after consulting with JNTU-Hyderabad and Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), arrangements have been made for the students to apply for EAMCET-2017 online by using their first-year hall ticket numbers.

Close to 250 students from Sri Vasavi Junior College, Vanasthalipuram, were deprived of appearing for Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) which was held in March, 2017. The school management didn’t pay their examination fee to TSBIE through online payment due to which the hall tickets for the students were not generated.

The Secretary, TSBIE in a statement said that it was a clear act of cheating by the management of the junior college.

Following the incident which was triggered many protests from students and parents of Sri Vasavi Junior College, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Minister for Education Kadiyam Srihari had assured them that they would be given an opportunity to appear for the Advanced Supplementary in May.

"On the day of declaring results of Intermediate examinations, the schedule for payment of examination fee for Advanced Supplementary in May 2017 will be announced. Students of the Sri Vasavi Junior College can approach the Principal of Government Junior College and pay their examination fee and get hall tickets for appearing for the exams", the BIE officials on Monday clarified.

The BIE officials urged the students to make use of the facility.
