More Germs On Mobiles than On Toilet Seat

Visakhapatnam, September 23: There are about 25,000 virus on a single cell phone screen. It means, 18 times more bacteria than most toilet seats, according to a research by University of Arizona, US. Not only mobile phones, electronic gadgets like TV remote controls, computer keyboards, video games, ATM machines, refrigerators and washing machines also carry lakhs of invisible virus.

According to a survey, there are more than 10 lakh TVs in Vizag city alone. The research reveals that a single TV remote will carry 320 types of bacteria. Now-a-days, everything is done through electronic machines which means that ATM cards, swiping machines and other such devices house various types of bacteria.

Despite knowing all these facts, neither the public will acknowledge nor the government will enlighten public about these health hazards.

It is equally important to wash hands after using them just like we wash hands before eating food. The parents should avoid the children from keeping TV remotes, mobile phones in their mouth.

Otherwise, these children may get diarrhea, cholera and other dangerous diseases.
