VITEEE  has got 2.23 lakh applications

Vellore, March 05: Vellore VIT Engineering Entrance Examination for the academic year of 2017-2018 to be conducted soon, so across 2.23 lakh candidates have registered for the exam says Founder & Chancellor of VIT University.

He said that "The university's record placement this year and its thrust to create innovation in academics has propelled the increase in patronage among students, especially from the northern part of India and non-resident Indians and this year 10,843 candidates had increased while comparing to last year."

In this most of them are from Andhra Pradesh state, they are nearly 34,068 candidates has registered and next from Uttar Pradesh across 23,360 members, and from Telangana 19847 had registered and of all from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu.

The VITEEE is to be held as a computer-based test from April 5 to 16 in 167 centers located in 119 cities including those in India, Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat.

Mr. Viswanathan said that the university will announce the examination results on or before April 24 (tentatively) in www.vit.ac.in. The counseling for admissions will begin from May 10 to 13.
