A.P. Cabinet Expansion - 1st October

Vijayawada, September 22 : Discussions were going on in the Telugu Desam Party circles about the possible AP cabinet expansion, along with overhauling. In fact, it is understood that AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was unhappy over the working of a few ministers. There were allegations that some of the ministers are not showing team spirit in developing the State.

YSR Congress MLAs, who shifted to the ruling party, are eagerly waiting for the date while TDP MLAs are also expecting to get minister berth. All those aspiring to become ministers are making rounds to the Chief Minister office.

Naidu reportedly considering to take up cabinet expansion only after the municipal corporations and municipal elections. It was heard that he would evaluate the working of ministers, MLAs and MLCs during the elections.

Elections to seven corporations
(i)Vizag
(ii)Kurnool
(iii)Tirupati
(iv)Guntur
(v)Kakinada
(vi)Ongole and
(vii)Srikakulam

Four municipalities
(a)Rajampet
(b)Kandukuru
(c)Nellimerla and
(d)Rajam have to be conducted.

But the talk is that Naidu has fixed October 1 as the muhurtam for cabinet expansion since pundits told him the date is good, Naidu's son Lokesh birthday too falls on the same day.But there is chance for only six people in the AP cabinet.

Whether Naidu will give chance to new people or appoint new ones by removing some of the existing ministers is anyone's guess. One has to wait to get these doubts clarified.
