Additional exam centers for JEE-Mains-2017

Hyderabad, March 30: The IIT- Madras has declared that, It had added the another exam centers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for JEE Mains-2017, which are Nizamabad, Guntur, Ongole, Ananthpur and remaining are same.

The Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar, has decided to increase the number of exam centers due to increase in the number of candidates giving NEET 2017.

As a result, 23 more examination centers have been added to the list and now the exam will be held in 108 cities instead of 80 cities and any candidate/s who wishes to revise their exam center can do so from March 24 to 27.

For this purpose a mobile app has also been developed which will aid the aspirants in locating the nearest exam center.

Steps to change the NEET 2017 exam center

Log in to official website of the NEET located at cbseneet.nic.in

On the home page click on the link 'exam city correction'. The link is flashing below the online services link.

Login in by entering your registration number and password.
Revise the center for the examination.

In an official notification, Central Board of Secondary Education informed that this year 11,35,104 candidates registered for the exam which is 42% higher than the registrations from previous year.

With the exam centers in 108 cities, NEET is the second exam after JEE (mains) to have this much centers. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 2017.

The entrance exam will be held in 10 languages namely Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya and Kannada.
